Helicopter crashes in Turkey, four victims

Four servicemen got injuries and were hospitalized as a result of a helicopter crash in Turkey, as reported by NTV.

The accident happened in Çekmeköy, a district in the Asian suburbs of Istanbul. The accident spot is being examined by police officers, firemen, and medical brigade.

“The four wounded men were taken to the nearby hospital immediately. They died from many injuries later in the hospital,” as Ali Yerlikaya, the Governor of Istanbul wrote on Twitter.

Information about the death of the militants has also been confirmed by the Ministry of Defense of Turkey.

The Ministry also added that the aircraft belonged to the 4th Field Regiment of the Ground Forces. According to CNN Turk, the soldiers died at the hospital. It is known that the helicopter has been in the air for 34 minutes.

The official reason for the crash is still unannounced. According to the unproven information of the Turkish press, the helicopter crash happened due to force landing.

There were 23 people aboard, as a result of the crash, 3 crew members died, another 10 passengers were injured. Three people are in critical condition.

Earlier, two passenger trains collided in the province of Catalonia, Spain. One person died and approximately 60 persons were injured. The crash happened between Manresa and Castellgali on February 8. As a result of the crash, 26-six-years-old driver of the train died. Besides, 15 people were in critical condition, 15 were moderately injured, and 37 got minor injuries.
