A group of dealers have grown the hectare field of cannabis worth over 11 million dollars in Kherson region, as Ukraine's Ministry of Internal Affairs press center reported.
"The plants, which are hybrid hemp with a high cannabinoid content, were sown using special agricultural equipment. Drip irrigation was laid along the rows of hemp, and the plants were carefully treated against weeds," the statement said.
Kherson dealers set up a plantation on the territory of an abandoned poultry farm near the village Preobrazhenka.
A watchtower was installed nearby, where an armed guy was watching around 34,700 bushes. However, such security measures did not help: four men were arrested by the police. Now they face up to seven years in prison.
As it was reported earlier on July 19, the cannabis plantation worth over $367,000 was found in Kherson region.
