The heat comes back to living neighborhoods in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region, southeastern Ukraine. The boiler houses are working as scheduled, now that the heating system went back online. The locals will get warm by the end of the day, the town hall said.
Previously, the city’s 2,000 living houses, schools, nurseries, and hospitals faced the emergency, as there was no heating amidst the low temperatures in November, which is one of the coldest months in Ukraine.
A similar situation is observed in the town of Smila, central Ukraine; there’s still no heat in the local households. The local prosecutors opened a criminal investigation due to the sabotage of the heating season.
According to the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers, the next gas price hike might happen in May 2019. The document said that the prices will be increased in three stages. The decree contains a calculation formula and a coefficient that will be increasing.
Between November 1, 2018 and May 1, 2019, the price of gas for the population will be $220 per a thousand cubic meters, without taxes. Ekonomichna Pravda outlet calculated the cost of transportation and the supplements of gas distribution companies.
It is reported that the gas price for the population will be $300 per one thousand cubic meters, including taxes, the cost of transportation and the supplements of gas distribution companies.
According to preliminary calculations, from May 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019, the gas price for the population will make $350 per one thousand cubic meters.
