A Ukrainian woman, who was provisionally diagnosed with coronavirus in Italy, is waiting for a final confirmation. This was announced by Ukraine’s Minister of Health Zoryana Skaletska, RBC reports.
According to Skaletska, the final confirmation should come from the clinic that is located in Rome. It is being awaited.
"I was informed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that there are two cases of confirmation of infection in Naples. One of them is Ukrainian. But now they are waiting for the final confirmation on the coronavirus, there is a positive result. Italian doctors sent the materials for testing to Rome," Skaletska said.
The minister also noted that the Ukrainian woman was in a hospital in a non-critical condition. Her relatives were also quarantined.
As we reported earlier, the Department of Consular Services of Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry reports that the evacuation of Ukrainians from Italy is not in progress.
"The evacuation (of Ukrainians – 112 International.) from Italy is not being discussed at this moment," Maksym Kovalenko, the Head of the Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said.
