The Ministry of Health and MSD are discussing the supply of Molnupiravir, a candidate drug for the treatment of patients with coronavirus, to Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.

Molnupiravir is currently in the third stage of clinical trials.

In addition, Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko, during a dialogue with company representatives, raised the issue of the possibility of increasing the supply of innovative medicines and immunobiological preparations on the Ukrainian market, as well as the transfer of vaccine production technologies.

Meanwhile, over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian doctors confirmed 2,614 new cases of Covid-19, including 196 children and 46 healthcare workers. 

824 people have been taken to hospitals during this period; 44 patients deceased and 1,447 recovered. 56,850 tests have been taken.

Most of the confirmed cases have been observed in Kyiv city (339), Kharkiv (216), Odesa (208), Chernivtsi (193) and Lviv (183) regions.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 2,296,155 people have contracted the disease, 2,212,313 have overcome it, 53,966 have succumbed to it.
