Healthcare Ministry approves vaccination plan for Ukrainian citizens

Operative staff of Ukraine's Healthcare Ministry has approved the plan of inoculations for the citizens. Public Health Centre of the Ministry reported that on December 22.

The plan foresees four stages of the vaccination involving the following groups of people.

1) January-April 2021: people with high risk of being infected with Covid-19, and those who perform critically important operations fighting against the pandemic. 

2) April-September 2021: people with extremely high risk of infection and development of Covid-19 and those performing medical services.

3) June-September 2021: people with high risk of infection and build-up of the disease and those who serve to support the national security and critical activity of governmental institutions.

4) September 2021-March 2022: people with the increased risk of being infected, and those seving to support the national security and critical activity of governmental institutions.

The citizens can get inoculated in the availale inoculation points and in temporary centres for vaccination. Mobile immunization crews will be providing this service, too.

The goal of this plan is to cover the immunization needs of at least half of Ukraine's population throughout 2021-2022. That's 20 million people. The vaccination will be voluntary.
