The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has expanded the rights of medical institutions in relation to patients with symptoms of Covid-19 and their contacts in connection with an increase in the number of infected in Ukraine. The press service of the Ministry of Health reports this on his page on Facebook.

According to a government decree initiated by the head of the Ministry of Health, Illya Yemets, healthcare institutions are entitled to compulsory medical examinations of people with symptoms of coronavirus and contacts, even if they refuse.

In addition, health facilities will be able to hospitalize people with symptoms and quarantine those who are trying to evade Covid-19 treatment, despite the diagnosis.

"The Ministry of Health should develop and approve procedures for the mandatory hospitalization of people who are diagnosed (or suspected) with Covid-19 and who evade treatment, examination and quarantine (self-isolation) on a voluntary basis, as well as mandatory self-isolation of people who are diagnosed (or suspicion) Covid-19, and their contact persons," - the press service added.

As we reported, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal said that Ukrainian citizens who had come from abroad were the only source of introduction of the Covid-19.
