The Ministry of Health does not have complete information on the number of people who managed to recover from coronavirus. This was announced by Health Minister Maksym Stepanov during a conference call with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the press service of the President’s Office reports.
"At the meeting, Volodymyr Zelensky raised the question of the reliability of statistics on patients and those who recovered from Covid-19. Maksym Stepanov said that he did not receive all the information about those who had overcome the disease as many people were dealing with it in self-isolation, and the Ministry of Health had made relevant changes in the spring. According to them, recovery is determined by clinical symptoms, a negative test for Covid-19 is not required," the statement said.
As we reported earlier, Zelensky stated that a strict quarantine would be introduced in the country if the number of newly infected people per day exceeded 9,500.
"The situation will become critical for the medical system of Ukraine when there are more than 9,500 daily infections with coronavirus. If we have more than 9500 infected daily, we will be forced to introduce strict quarantine. But then the economy of our country will stop and it will be very difficult for everyone," he said.
