Head of Council of Europe Office in Ukraine Мarten Ehnberg was robbed in the downtown of Kyiv as Interfax-Ukraine reported citing the press service of the Chief Department of the National Police of Kyiv.
“Yesterday in the restaurant at Horodetskoho Street about 13:00, a diplomat found that his money was stolen. He filed the application to the police. The criminal proceeding due to the robbery was opened,” the police said.
At the same time, police do not call the name of the diplomat, while it is known that Мarten Ehnberg heads the Council of Europe Office in Ukraine.
Earlier the American diplomat was beaten up in the downtown of Kyiv.
The 40-years old victim said that he went to a fast food café and listened to a music. When he came out of the pedestrian subway the unknown possibly told him something. The foreigner began to get out his earphones and was punched in the face.
Also, Serhiy Nikitenko, a journalist was beaten up next to a parking lot in Kherson region. The incident took place at the Svobody square downtown after the meeting organized in honor of Nadiya Savchenko release.
