Hazardous substance poured out into Ukraine's Ros river

The commission has made a decision to temporarily stop the water supply from 23.00 on June 9. Since June 10, fishing, swimming and cattle grazing in the waters of the Ros River is prohibited.

An accident occurred in the Zbarzhivka village of Vinnytsia region. During the transportation of an unknown agricultural chemical, the car fell into a tributary of the Ros River. This was announced by the Bila Tserkva mayor on Facebook.

“According to the Basin Management of Water Resources of the Middle Dnipro, this substance can reach the Bila Tserkva district in 18 hours,” the mayor said.

A meeting of the city council executive committee on technogenic-ecological safety issues and emergency situations was held. The commission has made a decision to temporarily stop the water supply from 23.00 on June 9. Since June 10, fishing, swimming, and cattle grazing in the waters of the Ros River are prohibited.

Residents are asked to make water supplies.

"Water supply will be resumed when a positive examination of water quality is made. The information will be updated," said the Bila Tserkva mayor.
Earlier, the hot water supply was cut off in Rivne due to public debt. It was reported by the press service of LLC Rivneteploenergo on Facebook.

"Considering the deterioration of the economic situation at the enterprise due to your debts for consumed services, as well as due to an unexpected increase in Naftogaz gas prices by 15% for heat supply companies - since May 1, after numerous warnings, centralized hot water supply in the city has been discontinued,” the message reads.
