Harsh weather in Ukraine: Almost 400 towns and villages cut off from grid

Rainstorms and gusts of wind damaged power lines in ten regions all over the country

398 inhabited localities across Ukraine stay without electricity, as harsh weather conditions continue to affect proper work of power lines. The State Emergencies Service reported this on Monday morning.

According to the message, the rain, snow and wind gusts cut off electricity in almost 400 towns and villages, mostly in western and central Ukraine. Lviv, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, Chernivtsi region took most of the damage. Snow cover appeared on roadways in Zakarpattya region, western Ukraine; the water level in local rivers increased due to strong rains.
