Vladyslav Manger, the head of Kherson regional council and the suspect in the organization of Kateryna Handzyuk's murder wears the digital bracelet. Yaroslav Trakalo, the spokesman of the National Police of Ukraine said this as quoted by UNN news agency.
'In accordance with the court decision, which the police of Kherson region received, this citizen [Manger] is released on bail; however, he is obliged to wear the ankle monitor. They put such bracelet on him on Saturday', Trakalo said.
Vladyslav Manger cannot leave Kherson unless the State Security Service allows him to do so; the pretrial investigation is underway.
Earlier on Tuesday, we reported that the suspect wore no bracelet because there was lack of such devices in Kherson.
February 11, Vladyslav Manger, Governor of the Kherson region, was served with charge papers in Handziuk’s murder. Earlier, Andriy Lysenko, the Spokesperson of Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Office, said that Manger is in Kherson.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko stated that the Head of Kherson Regional Council Manger was served with charge papers concerning organizing the murder of Handziuk.
On November 4, it became known that Kateryna Handziuk died at age of 34. She was doused with sulphuric acid in July this year. According to preliminary information, her death was caused by blood clot's detachment.
Besides, the doctors specified the cause for the death of Handziuk was specified. It was due to multiple organ failure and chemical burns.
