Hacker from Ukraine Fedir Hladyr received 10 years in prison in the United States for numerous cyberattacks that caused $ 3 billion in damage. This decision was made by a court in Washington state, according to the website of the US Department of Justice.

It is noted that the 35-year-old citizen of Ukraine was the head of the FIN7 hacker group, also known as Carbanak and Navigator, which numbered more than 70 people. In America, FIN7 broke computer networks in all 50 states, stealing more than 20 million customer card data.

Now Gladyr also has to pay $ 2.5 million in compensation.

In 2018, three Ukrainians - 44-year-old Dmytro Fedorov, 30-year-old Andriy Kolpakov and 33-year-old Fedir Hladyr were detained in Poland, Spain and Germany. Hladyr was extradited to Seattle, where he was formally charged.

The website of the American department says that all three arrested are members of the international hacker group FIN7.
