A man was murdered in a shootout, which occurred in Kharkiv, northeastern Ukraine, on late Saturday. Olena Barannyk, the press secretary of the regional branch of the National Police, said this in a commentary for 112 Ukraine TV channel.

‘The Audi driver deceased due to the gunfire. The killer who stood between the parked cars threw two bursts of fire from his assault rifle. The first notion about the incident appeared at 11.30 p.m. The investigation team, operatives and chief officers of the National Police came to the crime scene; several expertise procedures were appointed. There are certain inferences, but for now, they are kept in secret’, she said.

The police defined the incident as a murder and now investigate the case under the respective article of Ukraine’s criminal code.
