1.15 billion dollars were allocated for road repair in Ukraine in 2017 and the next year the expenses will be increased to 1.54 billion dollars. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman claimed this at the press conference that was broadcasted by 112 Ukraine.

‘I want to emphasize that 1.15 billion dollars are available this year. As I promised a year ago, 1.15 billion dollars are available this year. We plan that the expenses will be 1.54 billion dollars within the law on the road fund next year. And this is only the state funds. We gave an opportunity to the cities to repair and build the roads within the decentralization and if we take in into account that these sums will be big’, he reported.

Groysman commented on the experiment on the allotment of the 50% of the overflow of the income of the tax payment from the State Fiscal Service for the reconstructions of the roads.

‘The experiment was efficient when it was the only source of financing. Last year I said that we see the resource from 1.3 to 1.54 billion dollars in the customs service and this resource possibly was stolen. This year we plan the overflow of the customs service in about 1.9 billion dollars. It means that these funds are taken out from the shadow schemes and directed to the state budget’, he noted.

‘We attracted 307 million dollars in 9 months of customs’ work. I firmly conceived that this sum will increase to 461 million dollars until the end of the year. There will be more funds and the finance system more transparency’, the minister noted.

Groysman supposed that part of the customs income will be allocated to the road fund.
