It is noted that the cities become the zones of high temperature turning into the so-called “heat islands”. The regions in South Africa and Mediterranean Basin are dry and warm themselves and they suffer from drought and hot weather more. There is also a possibility that the Arctic will be free from ice until 2050 – at least, once during the year in September.
The experts also predict the irreversible increase of the level of the worldwide ocean and it can cause global floods: things that are considered to the “flood of the century” will be the annual event in 80 years.
According to the published report, since 1970, the average temperature at the surface of the globe has increased much faster than during any other commensurate period of time during the last 2,000 years. Thus, in 2011-2020 years, it exceeded the average temperature rates of 1850-1900s years per 1.1 degree Celsius. The measures on the fight against climate change showed success only in medium-term and long-term prospects: even a significant decrease of the greenhouse gases emissions as a result of the activity of a human stabilizes the global temperature only in 20-30 years.
As we reported, the second clause of the Paris Climate Agreement has already begun to be implemented by Ukraine on behalf of President Volodymyr Zelensky.
