Group of young people attacked LGBT person with knife in Kyiv

On September 6, about 5:30 a.m., at Kreshchatyk, the downtown of Kyiv, a group of young people attacked an LGBT person with a knife as Informator reported.

According to the suffered LGBT representatives, a group of young people came up to them when they had a rest after the visit to the club. There were guys and young women among them; the group began to offend them, emphasizing the homosexuality of the representatives.

Soon, there was a struggle between the groups. As a result, one of the teenagers stabbed one of the LGBT representatives in the chest three times. Then the aggressive group seized the telephone of the victim and began to drink alcohol on the bench not far from the site.

The police officers arriveв at the scene of the crime and noted that the attackers tried to get rid of the material evidence.

“One of them threw the knife into the flower bed, another to the trash can near the bench and the telephone was thrown in the bushes,” the correspondent noted.

The investigators held the once-over of the teenagers for the presence of knives or other weaponry and took them to the police station. The young people denied the attack.

A young man stabbed with the knife was taken to the hospital. Six police crews, the investigative group and doctors work at the site.

Earlier the LGBT office was attacked in the Podilskiy valley in Kharkiv. According to the preliminary information, unknown in gas masks broke into the place, threw a smoke grenade, used the pepper spray and damaged the organization property.

March of equality was held in Kyiv on June 17. Clashes broke out between the Police and nationalists. Tear gas was used against the Police. Five officers needed a medical aid. Generally, 57 offenders were delivered to the Police Departments to do background checks and hear reasons for the commission.
