On Saturday, May 23, Kyiv municipal ground transport will get back to work in the usual mode. Vitaliy Klitschko, Kyiv mayor said so at a briefing broadcasted by 112 Ukraine TV channel.
"Since it's a weekend day tomorrow, the ground public transport may resume working in the usual mode, starting from noon. Until then, it will be available with special ID passes", Klitschko said.
The underground is supposed to resume working on May 25.
Previously, it was reported that Kyiv is still not ready to get to the next of lifting quarantine restrictions.
The authorities of Kyiv region do not plan to mitigate the quarantine on May 23. The number of new cases of Covid-19 in this region still exceeds the norm (the current increase rate made some 13,900 people per 100,000 of population, whilst the norm is 12,000 per 100,000).
Earlier, we reported that 442 cases of infection with Covid-19 occurred in Ukraine on May 21. The overall number of the infected people in this country reached 20,148 people. Ukraine's Healthcare Ministry reported that on Friday morning.
As of 9 a.m. May 22, there are 588 lethal cases in Ukraine. 6,585 patients recovered.
Currently, Chernivtsi region (2,905), Kyiv (2,522) and Kyiv region (1,344) come first in terms of the largest number of patients.
