"Travel company Mouzenidis Travel, headquartered in Thessaloniki, has suspended services for foreign tourists, including Ukrainians," the statement said.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has opened a 24-hour hotline (+306907962985) in Thessaloniki to provide assistance to Ukrainian tourists who have arrived in Greece but cannot use the ordered services of the company.
The agency warned that tourists, who have purchased tickets to Mouzenidis Travel, must contact the hotel to verify the authenticity of the reservation before traveling to Greece to avoid problematic situations.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is working to ensure that the Greek travel company fully fulfills its obligations to Ukrainian tourists," the diplomatic mission said.
Olha Kobzar, director of the representative office of the tour operator Mouzenidis Travel in Odesa, said in a comment to Interfax-Ukraine that the suspension of Mouzenidis Travel Greece operations from June 18 to 26 this year was caused by technical and legal procedures.
"The pause in tourist services in Greece is connected with the settlement of estates, property valuation, transfer of cases to the new management," she said.
As it was reported earlier, Greece opened borders, including for tourists on May 14. They will not be obliged to pass quarantine. However, tourists need to have a vaccination certificate or negative test for coronavirus or a document confirmed that a person has overcome the virus.
