Greece introduces new requirements for Ukrainian tourists on December 19, the press service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reports.

"Greece is tightening the rules for entering the country. On December 19, requirements for all tourists to provide the result of PCR testing for coronavirus within 48 hours after entering the country will be introduced," the statement reads.

Now, to enter the territory of Greece, Ukrainians must meet one of the conditions:

  • provide a certificate of vaccination against coronavirus;
  • provide a negative PCR test for SARS-CoV-2 taken not earlier than 72 hours before arrival in Greece;
  • provide a negative result of the antigen test (rapid test), which must be done no earlier than 48 hours before arrival;
  • provide a certificate of recovery from the coronavirus disease issued 30 days after the date of the first positive test, which is valid for 180 days thereafter.

In addition, tourists will need to fill out a special PLF form 24 hours before crossing the border.

As it was reported, Romanian government has decided to introduce additional measures for unvaccinated travelers. In particular, a quarantine regime of 14 days is established for all unvaccinated citizens arriving in Romania from third countries (except the EU, the EEA, the Swiss Confederation).

From December 15, 2021, passengers arriving in the Republic of Cyprus are required to pass the express test 72 hours after the arrival.
