Greece has opened borders, including for tourists on Friday, May 14. They will not be obliged to pass quarantine as Ekathimerini reported.

However, tourists need to have a vaccination certificate or negative test for coronavirus or document confirmed that a person has overcome the virus.

The Greek National Tourism Organization guarantees the guests of the country the safe rest. Currently, almost all restrictive measures introduced six months ago are canceled.

A tourist has to fill so-called PLF form a day before the travel. This rule was introduced the last summer. The rules will be applied until the introduction of the European green certificate. The tourists will be randomly checked at the Greek airports. The quarantine hotels are provided for tourists with positive tests.

However, according to the Embassy of Ukraine in Greece, official sources do not provide more particular information, whether or not it concerns the citizens of Ukraine.

“As of May 14, 2021, the Greek government did not make a decision toward the entrance of the citizens of Ukraine to the country with touristic goals,” the message said.

As we reported, Germany has mitigated the rules of entry for travelers vaccinated against coronavirus on May 13. Tourists fully vaccinated with EU-recognized vaccines - BioNTech / Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson - or those who have been exposed to the Covid-19 virus in the past are free from quarantine or testing upon arrival in the country.
