On Ukraine's Independence Day, Kyiv will host a landmark event - a concert by world-famous Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli.
According to the Embassy of Ukraine in Italy, the maestro will present the program "Voice of My Soul" in support of the Museum and Cultural Center for Contemporary Art of Ivan Marchuk.
During the concert, the paintings of the Ukrainian artist will come to life on the screens, which, intertwining with the exquisite arias of the Italian tenor, will create an incredible multi-dimensional canvas for the audience.
The performance will be accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine under the conductorship of Marcello Rota and G. Veryovka Ukrainian National Honoured Academic Folk Choir.
The event will take place on August 24 at 5 p.m. on Constitution Square (open-air near the Mariinsky Palace).
It was reported earlier, a new concert overture will be performed near the Museum of History in honor of the 30th anniversary of independence.
