Electricity tariffs for the population will not be increased. This was stated by Acting Minister of Energy Olga Buslavets in an interview with Radio Liberty.

"I want to reassure our population, which has an approved electricity tariff. It has been unchanged since 2017. And, as the Prime Minister has repeatedly noted, no one is preparing a decision to raise this tariff," she said.

According to Buslavets, without raising the social protection level, as well as without raising the living wage and pensions, it is inappropriate to talk about raising the tariff for the population today.

She also noted that we are talking about the invariance of tariffs specifically for the population. And in other market segments, there are bilateral agreements, and there is their own pricing.

"I stand for market rules so that the price on the market is formed in such a way that it meets today's demand and supply," she summed up.

Earlier Ukrainian MPs supported the government bill, which provides for the reduction of green tariffs. For the draft law No. 3658 voted 268 MPs.
