The government has officially launched a pilot to implement Google tools. The company provided the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine with 1000 free accounts. It was stated by the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Dmytro Dubilet on his Telegram-channel.
"We have officially launched a pilot to implement Google tools in the Cabinet of Ministers. We have agreed with Google that they give us 1000 free accounts. We are very grateful for that. First of all, I count on Google Docs and Spreadsheet. You don't even realize how much time public servants spend due to the fact that they can't just "share" the documents and work on them together. Instead, a lot of time is spent on the logistics of paperwork and pencils,” Dubilet stated.
He added that he also counts on Google Forms.
"Now, if you need to collect information from other government agencies or employees, it takes a lot of time, because the information is collected through documents and then systemized manually. This week, the official training courses for the first groups of Cabinet employees have been officially launched. Of course, there are times when Google tools are not applicable (for example, information with limited access), but there are not that many of those,” the minister stated.
As we reported earlier, Ukraine's Cabinet wants to create its own bank named either Ukraina or Bank U. The idea belongs to Dmytro Dubilet, the Minister of the Cabinet and the creator of Ukraine's first mobile-only bank.
