In the event of a second wave of coronavirus in Ukraine, the authorities would not follow the scenario of a complete stop of the economy. Head of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction Davyd Arakhamia said this on the Ukraine 24 channel.

“We definitely do not want to follow the lockdown scenario, which we had at the very beginning of the pandemic. It was the right decision, but it had a very strong impact on business. People would definitely not be able to withstand the second wave of such closures, and the state does not have the resources to just sit everyone at home and pay benefits,” Arakhamia said.

According to the head of the parliamentary faction, it is necessary for the business to work as usual.

"We will try to have everything open as much as possible - so that business works the way it works. Tightening will be possible in the rules - masks, distance, disinfectants - but at the same time everything must work to generate GDP," Arakhamia said.
