The ministries of defense and education should better coordinate communication regarding military draft for graduates. Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal stated this during the government meeting.
"The situation with the military appeal of school graduates and the summons that began to come to them. I will ask the Minister of Defense and the acting Minister of Education to better coordinate communication on this issue. So that the parents do not get nervous, the children do not get nervous," the Prime Minister said.
Shmygal emphasized that boys who are over 18 years old and want to go to college should have this opportunity.
“They probably don’t need to hand over urgent summons. Children should be given the opportunity to calmly prepare for admission ... Get involved in the process, it is important to bring the military commissars in place so that coordination and calm are in this regard,” the head of government said.
As we reported before, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has submitted a bill № 3553 on the introduction of a new type of military service for reservists in the Ukrainian army.
