Penalty for late payment of utility bills will not be charged

The Cabinet of Ministers will decide on a ban on disconnecting electricity for the population. President Volodymyr Zelensky said this during the video message, which was broadcast on the 112 Ukraine TV channel.

The President added that Ukrainians will not stop providing utility services in case of non-payment.

"Remember, you will not be charged a fine for late payment of utility bills," – Zelensky said.

At this moment, 73 cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Ukraine. Over the past 24 hours, 26 people have been infected with coronavirus in Ukraine, of which 20 in Kyiv, 1 in Kyiv region and 3 in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

As we reported before, the Minister of Health, Illya Yemets, is asking the Verkhovna Rada to introduce a state of emergency due the coronavirus in Ukraine

Yemets called on MPs "to show willpower, not to be afraid, but for the sake of saving Ukrainians" to get together and vote for the imposition of a state of emergency

Earlier, Ukraine's Healthcare Ministry stated that the express tests for COVID-2019 would be conducted only by doctors of certain healthcare establishments.
