The Cabinet of Ministers extended the terms of the "preferential treatment" of social payments for internally displaced persons for the period of quarantine and one additional month after its termination. The IDPs will be able to receive payments without contacting the social security authorities.
"The deadline for the payment of cash assistance in the previously established amount is extended for the quarantine period and for one month after its cancellation without a person contacting the authorized body," reads the Cabinet of Ministers decree No. 491 of June 17, 2020. It is known as the decree "On Amending the Procedure for Submitting a Monthly Address assistance to internally displaced persons to cover living expenses, including payments for housing and communal services."
At the end of the lockdown, the Cabinet of Ministers also authorizes the responsible body to recalculate payments: if IDPs received more, excess funds will have to be returned, if less, they will pay extra money.
The situation with human rights in Ukraine needs improvement, as stated in the UN report on the human rights situation in Ukraine over the period from 16 November 2019 to 15 February 2020.
