Money will be directed to provide doctors' salaries

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to allocate over $5 million to the Ministry of Health to ensure the professional development of medical specialists. This became known during an extraordinary meeting of the government, which was broadcast on the 112 Ukraine TV channel.

This money will be directed to doctors' salaries.

"The offer is to allocate funds to the Ministry of Health from the fund for the fight against acute respiratory disease Covid-19 and its consequences for ensuring the professional development of doctors in the amount of UAH 141 million," Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov said.

He added that money will be allocated for doctors and professors involved in the treatment of coronavirus, which were reduced payments during the formation of funds, but at the same time they are engaged in retraining doctors.

As we reported before, the salaries of Ukrainian doctors plan to increase from September 1. This decision was made by the government during an extraordinary meeting of the government.
