Germany did not simplify entry conditions for Ukrainian citizens, the press service of the German Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.

"In making this change, the Federal Government is following a recommendation that was issued by the Council of the EU on 1 July 2021. Unrestricted entry is already permitted for travellers from the following non-EU countries: Albania, Australia, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Lebanon, Macau, New Zealand, North Macedonia, Serbia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and the U.S.," the message reads.

People living in third countries are only allowed to enter Germany if they perform an important function or if their travel is absolutely necessary or if they are fully vaccinated.

As it was reported on January 10, Germany has changed the rules of entry for Ukrainian tourists. Since January 9, entry into the country is allowed on the condition of providing one of the following documents: proof of a complete course of vaccination; a negative PCR test (48 hours in advance); antigen test (in 48 hours); certificate of recovery.
