German federal government issued 2 million Euros to support the Ukraine-based project of the UN High Commissioner on Refugees (UNHCR). “The money will go to meet the requirements of people on the both sides of the division line in Donbas; of those who need special protection”, the UN office reported.

The project is being implemented since January 2015. The UNHCR Office has been rendering assistance to the internally displaced people and the locals in Donbas who suffered the most during the conflict while residing near the division line. The initiative is supposed to satisfy their basic needs by giving them shelter, food and access to public services.
