The rapid growth of gas prices in Ukraine will lead to an increase of prices of pretty much all kinds of services in Ukraine. Oleg Popenko, the head of the Union of Consumers of Household Services said so as quoted by Telegraf.
According to the official, the gas tariffs for business will grow inevitably, because the government is not going to compensate these - unlike the social tariffs.
"One should expect an increase of price of almost all kinds of services, because the gas for boiler houses or the heating of shopping malls will get more expensive. Then, prices for services of all kinds will grow, including gyms, swimming pools, shopping malls and the rent of buildings", Popenko said.
The expert also added that there's a possible growth of prices in the building branch as well. For example, full-fledged production of cement and bricks requires natural gas, which means that the production process could get more costly, too.
In September, the price of import gas in Ukraine grew by 27 percent. The price made 543.1 USD per 1,000 cubic meters.
