The Kyiv police called the probable cause of the explosion on Turgenevska street in Kyiv, which occurred on June 15 at night. It is reported by the press service of the police department.
"The investigators conducted an inspection of the scene and found that the explosion was allegedly caused by a gas leak in one of the garages. Currently, the police are interviewing the owner and specifying the cause of the explosion," the report said.
Law enforcers also confirmed information that as a result of the incident, no one has died, but garages were damaged and three cars were destroyed.
According to this fact, criminal proceedings were initiated under Part 1 of Art. 272 (violation of safety rules when performing work with increased danger) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
