The occupation authorities of Crimea detained Crimean Tatars incriminating them the membership in the religious and extremist organization on October 2. The press service of Russian FSB in Crimea reported this.
According to the press service, the detained people were the members of ‘Tabligi Jamaat’ organization that is recognized as religious and extremist in the territory of Russia. The Russian investigative bodies opened a criminal proceeding under the part 1, 2, article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of Russia (Organization of activity of extremist organization).
The security officials raided the house of 64-years old citizen of Melnychne village Taliat Abdurakhmanov as Crimea.Realities reported. People in balaclavas came to his house and took him away supposedly in Simferopol.
Advocate Edem Semedliaev reported at Facebook about three detentions of Crimean Tatars and stated their names: Renat Suleimanov, Arsen Kubedinov and Seiran Mustafiev.
The Crimean occupation court sentenced Deputy Chairman of Crimean Tatar Mejlis Akhtem Chiygoz to eight years of imprisonment on September 11.
The Ukrainian authorities, the European Council and the European Court of Human Rights condemned the sentence to Chiygoz.
