French police search for second suspect in Paris terror attack
The first attacker who killed a cop and wounded another two was eliminated; the second assailant was identified by Belgian security services
French law enforcers are searching for the second suspect who attacked their colleagues in the downtown Paris. Pierre-Henry Brandet, the Interior Ministry’s spokesman said that as quoted by Reuters.
In an interview with a local radio station, the official said that the second suspect was identified by Belgian security services, which handed the information to their French counterparts.
As is known, a shootout occurred in Paris late on Thursday, April 20. A man armed with AK-47 assault rifle fired at policemen in the centre of the French capital. One of the law enforcers was killed, two more were wounded. The attacker deceased as well.
President Francois Hollande immediately stated that it was a terror attack; later, the ISIS claimed responsibility for the shooting.
