The free PCR test for Covid-19 are performed among patients with clear signs of coronavirus disease, as well as people who suffer from pneumonia. Viktor Lyashko, the Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine said so during the briefing.

"[This also concerns] individuals who contacted people with confirmed cases [of coronavirus]", Lyashko said.

Earlier, the WHO claimed it was going to refresh the testing protocol next week. The updated protocol on testing people for coronavirus disease will have a place for quick tests for the anti-gene.

As we reported earlier, before the epidemiological season begins in Ukraine, 665,000 anti-flu vaccines are supposed to reach the country.

500,000 doses will be provided by French company VAXIGRIP TETRA. 45,000 doses of Influvac vaccine will come from the Netherlands. The Republic of Korea is supposed to send a total of 120,000 vaccines.

On September 1, 2,495 new cases of coronavirus were observed in Ukraine. 51 people passed away from the disease over that day.
