France tightens requirements for tourists arriving from third countries

France will require all visitors from outside the EU to provide a negative test for Covid-19 as The Independent reported citing French government Spokesperson Gabriel Attal.

"The question is being raised about the mandatory negative result of the PCR test for travel within the EU. We are working on this issue in coordination with our European partners. The decision will be made by the end of the week,"- Attal said.

It is expected that a negative PCR test result obtained in less than 24 hours will be required when traveling in the EU for both unvaccinated and vaccinated citizens.

On November 30, Great Britain imposed the obligatory PCR testing for those who enter the country. The citizens will also be obliged to stay on quarantine until they receive negative test results.
