Fox with rabies bites woman in Kyiv

In Kyiv, in Holosiivsky district, a fox affected with rabies bit a woman as the Chief Department of the State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection in Kyiv reported.

“A body of an animal was delivered to the department for fight against animals rabies on April 19. The study exposed glowing common for animals rabies,” the message said.

On April 17, the animal ran in the yard in the Holosiivsky district and hid under the boards. The same day, the fox bit a woman who was passing these boards, and the animal hid again.  The next day, the body of the fox was found.

The woman receives the necessary treatment.

Earlier, in Kyiv, in Darnytsia and Sviatoshynsky districts, the quarantine against rabies was introduced.

As we reported, a man who was bitten by a homeless dog in the Mykolaiv region died from a severe form of rabies.
