Four Ukrainians die in car accident in Poland

The deadly car accident took place at the entrance to Opole, Poland. Volkswagen Passat with four people went under the passenger train at the railway crossing. Three passengers and the driver died at the scene as Naszemiasto reported.

The incident took place on February 27 about 19:00. The driver of the car went to the railway where it crashed into the suburban train. Three women and a man died in the result of the accident. The youngest of them was 20 and the oldest was 60.

At the moment, it is known that all of them are the citizens of Ukraine. The Consul of Ukraine to Krakow and Honored Consul to Opole assume all measures to identify the perished and provide the transfer of the bodies to Ukraine.

The local police reported that the railway-crossing is well-lit. The circumstances of the accident are investigated.

The Opole-Nysa highway was temporarily closed for the vehicle traffic.
