Four more coronavirus cases spotted in Kyiv

According to Kyiv’s mayor, the number of infected persons has increased to 28

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko announced that four more cases of coronavirus infection had been observed in the capital of Ukraine. He wrote about it on his Telegram channel.

"Today we received four more laboratory-confirmed cases of coronavirus disease," Klitschko wrote.

According to him, the number of infected persons in Kyiv has increased to 28, the Ministry of Health had previously reported about 29 cases in Ukraine’s capital.

The following cases are: a 17-year-old girl who returned from London, a 53-year-old woman who had contact with one of the patients from the Kyiv region, a 28-year-old woman who returned from Austria, and a 21-year-old man, who contacted a relative from the Zhytomyr region.

As we reported earlier, the Ukrainian government made a decision to introduce a state of emergency in Donetsk, Ternopil and Cherkasy. Such measures were taken in order to prevent the spread of Covid-2019.

Currently, the emergency situation is imposed in nine regions of Ukraine.

As of March 22, the number of people infected with coronavirus in Ukraine reached 73 people.
