Four suspicions on infection with coronavirus were spotted in the Rivne region; however, they were not confirmed as Deputy Healthcare Minister of Ukraine and Chief Sanitary Inspector Viktor Lyashko reported on Facebook.
Lyashko reported that he visited the hospitals in Zhytomyr, Rivne and Sarny, which were determined for admission of patients with Covid-19.
“The hospitals were chosen randomly; nobody knew about my visits…There are infection boxes at all hospitals; they were allocated especially for cases of registration or suspicion on Covid-19. Currently, they are empty but ready to admit the patients. For example, in Rivne, four people were isolated in them with the suspicions, which did not confirm. The algorithm of actions is worked out, they agree – everything is planned right and logically,” Lyashko said.
According to him, all hospitals know what to do in the case of necessity and which resuscitation procedures to hold.
“In Zhytomyr hospital, there is the intensive care unit; besides, it has the plan in case of how and where the aid to a large number of people should be provided and which units should be reequipped. In Rivne, the intensive care unit at the infectious disease unit will be prepared until the end of the next week. But in case of the necessity to provide the aid now, other units are ready to admit patients for intensive care,” Lyashko said.
As we reported, people with coronavirus in Ukraine will be treated free of charge - if they are treated in municipal and state medical institutions.
