Founder of Ukrainian radical feminist activist group Femen committed suicide in Paris

Artist and one of the founders of the Ukrainian radical feminist activist group Femen Oksana Shachko committed suicide in Paris as Telegram-channel Paris Burns reported.

“Oksana Shachko (one of the Femen founders) committed suicide on July 23 in her Paris apartments. French police have taken her body for the examinations. Oksana left a not in English addressed to the Paris bohemians with which she closely negotiated the last time “all of you are fake”,” the message said.

Oksana Shachko was born in Khmelnytsky on January 31, 1987. She along with Anna Hutsol and Oleksandra Shevchenko founded Femen in April 2008.

As we reported earlier a famous Ukrainian movie maker Leonid Kanter shot himself. A body of 36-year-old movie maker with gunshot wounds was found at his house in Obyrky village, Chernihiv region.

Leonid Kanter was born in Kyiv on July 27, 1981. He finished the school in Kyiv and worked as the TV-anchorman at the National TV Company of Ukraine during his study at the university. In 2003 he founded 'Lizard films' studio where more than 50 short-movies and documentaries were shot.

In 2015 he along with Ivan Yasniy shot the documentary 'Volunteers of God's couple' about the defenders of the Donetsk airport – 'cyborgs' and in 2018 he shot movie 'Myth' about Vasyl Slipak, the Ukrainian opera singer killed in Donbas.
