On Saturday, January 27, the entrepreneur and founder of IKEA, Ingvar Kamprad, died in Sweden aged 91. Today this ststed on the website of the furniture company.

It is noted that the founder of the network of furniture and household goods stores passed away, surrounded by his relatives, in his own home in Smoland, after a short illness.

Kamprad was born on March 30, 1926. He founded IKEA at the age of 17 on the money donated by the father. The first shopping center was opened in 1958. Now the company's products are represented in more than 40 countries.

The founder has withdrawn from IKEA's operational activities since 1988, but continued to work with the company as a senior adviser.

In March 2015, the state of Kamprad, according to the Forbes magazine, was $ 3.5 billion.

We recall that in December 2017 IKEA announced that they can open their first store in Ukraine during next two years.
