Law enforcement officers have opened almost 800 cases for forgery of Covid certificates in Ukraine. This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs Denys Monastyrsky.

"Almost 800. This is the number of criminal proceedings initiated on the fact of forgery of vaccination certificates. Meanwhile, Ukraine has the highest mortality rate from Covid-19," Monastyrsky said.

He also called on Ukrainians to report the facts of forgery of certificates to the cyber police hotline 0-800-505-170 or 102.

It should be noted that for the production and sale of fake documentation, offenders may face punishment - from a fine of 17,000 hryvnia ($646.13) to 5 years in prison.

And for the use of forged certificates, the penalty is from a fine of up to 850 hryvnias ($32) to restriction of freedom for up to 2 years.

Earlier, Health Minister Viktor Lyashko stated that 900 mobile teams would monitor compliance with quarantine in Ukraine.

Besides, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov stated that the peak of coronavirus incidence is expected in late October - early November in Ukraine.
