"In Ukraine, they are watching the development of the situation with deep sorrow; it remains critical and has led to a significant number of victims, as well as dozens of missing people as a result of large-scale forest fires in Australia," the report said.
The agency expressed condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to all the victims and the rescue services and firefighters participating in the elimination of the tragic consequences of the natural disaster.
"The Australian government is taking all necessary measures to minimize the effects of fires. For its part, the Ukrainian government is ready to provide assistance to the friendly Australian people, if necessary," the Ministry added.
They also emphasized that the Ukrainian Embassy in Australia is in constant contact with government and local authorities, including to determine the presence of Ukrainian citizens among the victims.
