Foreigners may cross Ukraine by transit without two-week self-isolation

The government changed some rules of the crossing of the Ukrainian border during the quarantine. Particularly, it was allowed to cross Ukraine by transit without observation of 14-day self-isolation, as the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported.

“The proper amendments were made by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to Regulation dated May 20, 2020 #392. The government defined that people who leave Ukraine within two days are not obliged to stay in observation or two-week self-isolation,” the message said.

It is noted that foreigners or people without citizenship cannot enter Ukraine without assurance (certificate) of costs insurance for treatment for coronavirus or observation.

These amendments do not concern foreigners or people without citizenship who permanently live in Ukraine, and citizens who are recognized as refugees or need extra protection.

In Ukraine, 37,241 people were infected with Covid-19 (+681 people in 24 hours). Thus, as of morning June 22, 1,012 Ukrainians died from coronavirus (+10 days in a day) and 16,642 people recovered.
