For merit, work and valor: Zelensky hands state orders to miners

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on awarding state orders on the occasion of the Miner's Day, August 25. The corresponding decree No. 624/2019 is published on the website of the head of state.

The miners were awarded "for significant personal contribution to strengthening the state’s energy potential, ensuring the sustainable operation of the coal industry, and high professionalism."

In particular, one person was awarded the Order of Merit of the 2nd degree, four people received the Order of Merit of the 3rd degree.

Three people were awarded the 3rd degree Order of Princess Olga; another 16 people were awarded the 3rd class Order "For Valiant Mining Labor".

13 people got the medal "For Labor and Valor".

In addition, by this decree, 16 people received the title “Honored Miner of Ukraine”.
