Football fans fight in Kyiv: Police reveal new information

A criminal proceeding is initiated based on the fight between the football fans in Kyiv on August 28. The press office of the Kyiv Police reported. 

‘The law enforcement officers detained nine active participants at the scene, later, 25 more offenders. All of them was delivered to the Pechersk Police Department. Flares and stones wrapped in packs were seized from the scene. The police officers established personal data of all participants of the conflict, the nine was detained in accordance with article 208 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine. It is being decided about their preventive measure,’ reads the message.

The information about the incident was added to the Unified register of pre-trial investigations in Ukraine. A criminal proceeding is initiated under the Part. 2, Art. 296 (Hooliganism). 

Reportedly, on August 28 in Kyiv, the football fans fought in the bar in Pechersk District before the match between Dynamo and Ajax. It was reported that nine people were detained. As a result of the match, Dynamo didn’t score Ajax and abandoned the Champions League.
