Food markets will be more tightly controlled due to crowds gathering there, the government and agencies involved in the fight against coronavirus made this decision due online conference, as the President’s office press service reports.
"In addition, the meeting reported on the situation with food markets that did not stop functioning in Ukraine. Today, some of them are experiencing an uncontrolled crowding of people, which is a huge risk for the spread of coronavirus. A decision has been made to tighten control of food markets," - the report said.
As we reported before, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the decree, according to which the export of buckwheat will be forbidden until July 1, 2020.
This is a temporary measure to protect the domestic market, the government says. Previously, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan also made respective decisions.
Also, the general number of people infected with Covid-19 in Ukraine grew to 1,319. The Healthcare Ministry reported that, claiming 68 new cases over the last 24 hours.
The largest number of cases is observed in Kyiv (234), Chernivtsi region (220), Ternopil region (160), Ivano-Frankivsk region (116).
