Flu in Ukraine: Epidemiological cut-off in five regions exceeded 17 percent

Over 260,000 news cases of infection were observed over last week, - Healthcare Ministry

The epidemiological cut-off of the flu across Ukraine is by now exceeded in five regions of central, western and northern Ukraine. The Civilian Health Centre of Ukraine's Healthcare Ministry reported that on Thursday.

The largest number of cases is currently observed in Vinnytsia, Rivne, Zhotomyr, Khmelnytsky and Volyn regions.

Over the past week, 260,000 new cases of infection were observed. Two children died because of complications of the flu, the Centre reports. 

The overall rate of excession of the epidemiological cut-off of the flu across Ukraine makes 16.8 percent. About 180,000 people were inoculated against the flu since the epidemiological season began.
